OUR PROCESS

We strive to fully transform waste into sustainable and clean products that society needs while protecting the environment and communities. We creatively use patented and integrated processes, technology and people. We are key for a true circular economy

IBC, Striving for a World Without Waste

Our Process

Step 1: Prevent landfill creation or expansion, and massive burning of trash

Landfills are dangerous and toxic places that affect communities and the environment. Trash Incinerators emit toxins into the air and pollute it. A 3k ton-per-day plant can stop 780k tons of trash per year from being landfilled or burned

The production of non-recycled commodities requires raw materials and processes that deplete our natural resources and pollute our environment

IBC will take Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), construction materials, tires and inorganic feedstocks

  • IBC takes its raw materials from waste, including used tires, plastics and Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste, and Municipal Solid Waste (MSW)
  • We strive to recover 95%+ of recyclable materials in the waste we treat
  • We will eliminate negative environmental impacts

Step 2: Sort, Recycle, Reuse, redistribute, Substitute, and Produce Green Energy

We can recycle 98% of all recyclable items that enter our doors and produce green power

  • A typical IBC plant will have a processing capacity of ~3,000 tons per day of waste (enough to fill up 6+ olympic pools)
  • The system will use separators and sorters to process MSW and recover valuable commodities like cardboard, plastics, PET, steel and aluminum
  • This system will be provided by a worldwide leader in the innovative design, engineering, manufacturing and installation of sorting systems for the solid waste recycling
  • Our system will achieve some of the highest throughput, recovery, and purity rates in the industry

Step 3: Gasify the organic waste

After drying residual material to 10% moisture content, feedstock is converted into synthetic gas (syngas) with no emissions through patented processes

  • The remaining organic waste  (MSW, wood waste, agricultural and other organic residues, etc.) goes into steam reforming gasification processes
  • The process transforms waste into molecules that can be converted into products
  • The gasification step of our process has been successfully used domestically and internationally

Step 4: Produce clean sustainable products

The syngas then goes to produce green electricity and heat, or it goes through liquefication resulting in ultra-pure sulfur-free diesel, commercial-grade FischerTropsch (FT) wax, Methanol or other clean fuels

Our products will significantly eliminate emissions generated by current fossil fuels, reduce transportation costs, and increase the reliability of fuel supply

  • IBC plants may include a biorefinery with an advanced fixed bed (AFB) Fischer-Tropsch reactor, catalyst and product upgrading technology or a Methanol Synthesis process
  • The process produces “drop-in” renewable clean fuels and waxes that meet ASTM specifications or pure Methanol
  • Sustainable liquids made from biomass and MSW significantly reduce CO2 emissions on a lifecycle basis as compared to conventional products
  • Many companies have worked on recycling and gas-to-liquids, biomass-to-liquids and coal-to-liquids projects around the world, but IBC offers an unprecedented recovery rate
